Placement test
The following is a sample of the placement test that all incoming Freshmen are required to take.
The purpose of this test is to place all Freshmen into the correct English class. Three levels of instruction are offered so that each student will benefit from a level of instruction appropriate for his or her needs.
Therefore, it is important that you do your best on this test so that your score accurately reflects your English ability. The test consists of four parts: listening, vocabulary, grammar and reading. Each component has the following value:
listening section: 30%
vocabulary section: 20%
grammar section: 20%
reading section: 30%
For this sample test we have taken a number of very similar questions to compose a short version of the real placement test, so that you can practice and become familiar with the question types and the test format.
Follow the instructions below and start your test now. Remember that there will be a time limit for the real placement test (90 minutes), so try to work as efficiently as possible.
For the listening part (Section I) you need to click on the loudspeaker button to hear the statement, dialog or lecture. You can maximum listen to it twice.
逢甲大學新生必須於九月份接受「英文能力測驗」，屆時所有新生將依其測驗成績分三級上課，以符合本校「因材施教」的目標。學生入學後即可在適合其英文程度的班級，使用合適的教材，獲得適切的指導。

為使學生事先對「英文能力測驗」的方式及題型有些基本概念，本校提供以下的模擬試題讓學生有練習的機會。
「英文能力測驗」的實際測試時間為九十分鐘，所以在練習時請善用時間，現在請依說明開始答題。
